Monday was Earth Day! Have you remembered to put all your recycling in the proper containers? In the hallways? In your classrooms? At home? You can make a difference!

Grade 12 Transportation Technology Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) – a reminder of your propane fill certification course at Bishop Smith on Monday April 29. This course will be held in room 160, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at 2:30 p.m.

Bishop’s 17th Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 25! Invitation and registration forms are available on the Bears’ Den bulletin board. Don’t delay in registering your team for this year’s tournament. This popular event fills up quickly. The tournament is open to both students and staff. It is a great opportunity to catch up with our graduates, current and former staff members, and supporting community members at the Pembroke Golf Club.

SPORTS

Grade 7 and 8 Track and Field – please note the following change to practice today. Practice will take place at lunch for all jumping and throwing events, as well as all Grade 7 boys and girls 100m and 200m runners.

Grade 8 Girls Gold Basketball – Mrs. Ferguson would like to congratulate the team for the amazing effort they put into all their games yesterday at the RCEIAA West tournament. You played with determination, drive, and above all stellar sportsmanship. Most games were lost by only a few baskets and the last game, by only one point. Super proud of all of you!

Grade 8 Boys Gold Basketball – the boys team defeated Champlain and Valour in the RCEIAA tournament to place first in their pool and advance to the finals against Highview. After a close game, the boys ended up in second place and will play in the tournament of champions at Fellowes on Tuesday. Great job boys! You should be proud.

Bishop Tennis – players are asked to return their signed permission forms for the upcoming Tennis Tournament in Kingston.
