Remember High School exams start Friday!!!

CATHOLIC YOUTH CONFERENCE – Once again, the annual Northern Ontario Catholic Leadership Conference, will be hosted in North Bay on, Saturday, February 22, 2025.

This event will gather young people aged 13-19 from across Northern Ontario for an amazing day led by International Catholic Speaker, Singer, and Comedian Paul J. Kim. This year’s theme is “AWAKEN – Live for More” giving young people the chance to reflect on making Christ-centered choices in their life within the challenges of today’s world.

The early bird registration deadline has been extended to Jan. 24th, which will save you money. Once again, this is for ages 13-19.

Forms are located outside of Mrs. Watson’s office, RM 105 by the grade 7/8 Lounge. This is a Diocesan event, not a school event, so if you need transportation, please let Mrs. Watson know ASAP, so rides can be organized.

Homework Help – do you need help with your homework? Drop in to Student Services Thursday after school, from 2:30 to 4:00, for extra help. Please let us know if you plan to attend.

Spirit Day – Thursday is Pajama Day!! This is an annual Bishop Smith Tradition the day before exams start. Roll out of bed and come to school in comfort for the last day of semester one.

March Break 2026 – there is a ticket to Amsterdam and London with your name on it. The $200 discount has been extended until the end of February. Don’t miss out on a trip of a lifetime! We begin fundraising next semester to help out with some of the cost. See Mrs. Crossman or Mrs. Burgess for details.

Chromebook Checkup – if you have a device that is running slow, not turning on, or not holding a charge, come to the library @ 8:00 a.m. for Ms. Lindsay to do a repair assessment. Culminating projects are underway and exams are fast approaching. Now is the time to get your Chromebook tuned up or repaired.

ABC News – The ABC will be selling Valentine-o-grams the first week of February. Send a valentine treat to your friends for $2.00. The treat bags will be delivered on Friday, February 14th to period 2 classes. Valentine-o-grams can be purchased online using school cash online or in person from Tuesday, Feb 4 to Thursday, Feb 6.
