Spirit Day – tomorrow is Band T-Shirt day! Show your school spirit by showcasing your favourite musical group or band.
Robert Tate Library – how are your culminating projects coming along? If research is required, consider checking in with Ms. Lindsay or Ms. Jalette in the library. If you are looking for a quiet work space, the library is now accessible throughout the school day. Books can also be signed out throughout the day and during the first half of lunch hour. Domino’s Family Pizza Night – a reminder that this fundraiser will now be held Wednesday, June 7 rather than tomorrow. Additional details will be shared shortly.
Neon Night – our final dance of the year is scheduled for this Friday! Gather your friends, put on your neon outfit to glow in the black lights, and dance the night away. Tickets are $5 each and include your entrance and pizza. Tickets go on sale today at the Student Council room.
What are you doing on Sunday, June 11? Would you like to join us in this year’s Krista Johnson Run on Sunday, June 11? The school with the most participants will receive a cash prize to put towards athletics programming. Funds raised will support the Youth Elevate Centre as well as Bishop Smith Lacrosse! Student Athletic Council – there will be a very important meeting today, at 11:05, in room 167 about the upcoming Athletic Banquet. Last week was a busy week at Bishop. If you were away and did not have a chance to submit your application form for next year’s Student Athletic Council, please do so at today’s meeting or by the end of the week. Please submit your form to Ms. Cotnam or Mrs. Plazek.
Anti-Bullying Committee – there is a meeting of the ABC today, at the start of lunch, in room 122.
Senior Boys and Varsity Girls soccer players – meeting today, at the start of lunch, in Mrs. Noble’s room.
Softball – team lists will be posted by the end of the day outside the main gym doors. The list will also include upcoming practice information. Thank you to everyone who tried out. There was an overwhelming amount of students who were interested and we wish we could have taken everyone to the tournament next week. Be sure to come out again next year.
Lacrosse – practices will be held after school this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thurs. Don’t forget your equipment.
Track & Field – our team competed on Day Two of the EOSSAA Championships in Brockville posting many excellent results and personal bests for many athletes. Well done team! Your coaches are very proud of your accomplishments.

EOSSAA Champion Kelsea Moore in junior girls triple jump
EOSSAA Champion Cole Simard in the 100 m and 200 m
Cole Simard, Lawson Hicks, Kington Rathwell and James Harrington in the junior 4×100 relay
EOSSAA Champion Malachi Kenny in both the junior boys 1500 and 800 m
Carlyn Brunette in senior girls long jump
Jayden Colligan in senior girls discus
James Harrington in the 200 m
Kelsea Moore set a new school record in the junior girls triple jump. Our junior boys relay team placed second in their event. And Malachi Kenny broke his own school record in his events as well as the EOSSAA junior boys record in the 800 m.
All athletes going to East Regionals are asked to meet with Mr. Kenny today, at lunch, in room 144. Also, would Kelsea Moore, Nolan Costello, Maura Smid, Megan Morrow, Cadence Dufour, Rudy Hamilton, and Izzy Pringle please return their singlets to Mr. Kenny today.
eSports – could all e-sports members please attend an important meeting at lunch today, in room 155, in preparation for our upcoming tournament.
