Home Alone – we are one week away from our shopping and symphony trip to Ottawa on Thursday, December 7. We will see the music of Home Alone performed in concert at the National Arts Centre. Those students that have signed and paid for the trip are asked to check the list on the music room door to ensure that you are registered to go. Please read the important travel information posted.
Snowflake Soirée – dress up and get on the dance floor at this Friday’s semi- formal. Tickets are $5 and include a late appetizer snack. Tickets can be purchased at the Student Council room at lunch or via School Cash Online until Friday. You can also sign up friends from other schools. but you must purchase their tickets by noon today. We look forward to dancing the night away. See you on the dance floor!
Reindeer Hunt – you have until today at 2:45 to pin your Round Two reindeer. The Student Council room will be open until 2:50 today to collect slips. Round Three will begin on Monday! Happy and safe hunting.
Grade 7-8 Pass N’ Smash – are you ready for tomorrow? The Student Council will be selling chips, drinks, and candy. Whether you are playing or not, bring some money with you, and buy yourself a treat!
Ms. Cotnam’s Period 2 grade 9 girls physical education class will meet in the gym today for attendance before going to the weight room. Don’t forget to bring your first-aid manual.
Ms. Cotnam’s Period 3 fitness class will go to the library today for class. Please bring your Chromebook to complete the assignment posted in our Google Classroom.
CLUBS
Student Athletic Council – if there are any Student Athletic Council members who would like to help out with the Grade 8 Pass N’ Smash Volleyball tournament on Friday, please stop by the Bears’ Den, at lunch, to sign-up. We need students for the following positions: lines, referees, scorers, scoreboard, and score clock.
Grade 7-8 Reindeer Games – games begin next week! You will have the opportunity to compete with students and staff at some fitness, engineering, and trivia games. Our first game will be on Tuesday morning! Someone from Student Council will be around to explain Reindeer Games to your class. Enjoy!
Intermediate Student Council – meeting today, at lunch, in Mrs. Brannan’s room.

Grade 8 Boys Badminton – practice today at lunch.
Grade 7 Boys Volleyball – congratulations to our boys volleyball teams! Bishop Gold went undefeated in the round robin and are now the undisputed West Division Champions! Both the Blue and Gold volleyball teams represented Bishop Smith phenomenally well at Mackenzie throughout the entire tournament. The coaches are so proud of all your efforts!
Junior and Senior Girls Volleyball – there will be a serving practice today, at lunch, in preparation for our games today at St. Joe’s. We will meet at the front entrance at noon to board the bus for Renfrew.
Winter sports season warm-up t-shirts – if you are interested in purchasing a warm-up shirt for basketball and volleyball teams, order forms are available on the ledge outside the Bears’ Den. The order deadline is Friday, December 8. Both forms and cash payment must be submitted by this date.
Alpine Ski and Snowboard Team – do you like to ski or snowboard? Would you like to join Bishop’s ski or snowboard team? It’s not too late to sign up. Stop by the Bears’ Den, at lunch, for more information about these teams and to pick-up a permission form. Come out to some on-hill gate training to see what the race team is all about.
