Earth Day was yesterday.  No.  Wait.  Earth Day should be ‘ every ‘ day!  Take a moment to do something kind for the planet.  Our Earth friendly eBook and audiobook collection will be featured in Sora until the end of the month.

Student Services – if you are planning to do grade 10 Civics and Careers or grade 11 or 12 religion online this summer, please ensure that your parent permission form has been submitted to Student Services.

University of Waterloo math contest – results for this year’s grade 9, 10, and 11 University of Waterloo math contest will be shared with participants this week. Check your school email for details.  Certificates will be available for pick-up in the library next week.

Bishop’s 17th Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 25! Invitation and registration forms are available on the Bears’ Den bulletin board. Don’t delay in registering your team for this year’s tournament. This popular event fills up quickly. The tournament is open to both students and staff. It is a great opportunity to catch up with our graduates, current and former staff members, and supporting community members at the Pembroke Golf Club.

A reminder to Ms. Cotnam’s Period Two Physical Education class and Period 4 Leadership class that you will be in the library today.  Check the Google Classroom for assigned work.

Spirit Day – this Thursday is ‘ Tie-Dye Day ‘ at Bishop for all students and staff.  Show your school spirit and dress up!



Grade 7 Destination Imagination – meeting tomorrow at lunch in Mrs. Muldoon’s room. See you there!

Red Maple Reading – due to today’s literacy test in the Robert Tate Library, meetings will resume next Tuesday. Until then, happy Red Maple reading!



Grade 7-8 Track and Field – tryouts will take place at lunch today for all girls events. Please meet outside the 7-8 gym at the beginning of lunch in proper running attire.  Also, bring your lunch and water bottle with you. The last boys try out before first cuts will take place tomorrow, at lunch, and the second girls try out will take place at lunch on Friday.

Track and field – all forms are due on Wednesday. Your track fees must also be paid online by Wednesday. We will confirm that your permission forms have been returned and fees paid at the meeting on Thursday, at lunch, in Mr. Kenny’s room.  All team members are asked to attend this meeting so we can also confirm your events for the uOttawa Invitational Track Meet on Friday, May 3.  We will be able to make changes to your events next week, but we need to register you into the system this weekend if you are coming to this track event.

Sprinters and Jumpers – practice today after school with Mrs. Peplinskie.  Meet at the white shed at 2:40.

Varsity Field Lacrosse – great practice yesterday! Our remaining practices for this week will be held on  Wednesday and Thursday after school. New members are always welcome.
