A specialty athletics program that we currently offer is Bishop Hockey. Bishop Smith Catholic High is an officially sanctioned Hockey Canada Skills Academy. We offer hockey education to males and females enrolled in grade nine as part of their overall curriculum. The goal of the program is to facilitate the academic and athletic growth of students by enhancing their level of confidence, individual playing skills and self-esteem. Our program has been accredited by Hockey Canada. The framework is consistent with Hockey Canada development standards.  Also, it is in full compliance with the Ministry of Education provincial learning outcomes for physical education. Each year, we host the Bishop Smith Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament. This tournament serves as an important school fundraiser. Typically, it is held on the last Saturday in May at the Pembroke Shores Golf and Country Club. We encourage view our daily announcements for registration details.
