December 5th, 2025– The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board (RCCDSB) is proud to share the remarkable results from the most recent EQAO standardized testing. This significant achievement highlights the academic growth of our students and is a direct reflection of the dedication of students, educators, and the wider community. RCCDSB students achieved average test scores that surpassed provincial averages in all but one subject, demonstrating impressive academic growth.
The outstanding EQAO results this year are a testament to our educators’ commitment to providing a challenging and supportive learning environment. “We are incredibly proud of RCCDSB students’ achievements. Their hard work and perseverance have truly paid off. This achievement is a direct result of the excellence that our teachers and support staff bring to the classrooms each and every day,” commented Derek Lennox, RCCDSB Superintendent of Education, following the release of the results.
In Grade 3 Reading, RCCDSB achieved an average of 86%, which is 12 percentage points higher than the provincial average of 74%. For Grade 3 Writing, the Board’s average was 72%, an impressive 7 percentage points over the provincial average of 65%. Similarly, in mathematics, RCCDSB’s students averaged 78%, which is 14 percentage points above the provincial average of 64%.
RCCDSB Grade 6 EQAO results surpassed the provincial average in all areas. In literacy, the RCCDSB average of 92% was 6% higher than the provincial average of 86%. For writing, the Board’s average was 90%, exceeding the provincial average of 85% by 5%. Notably, in mathematics, the RCCDSB achieved an average of 62%, an 11% increase over the provincial average of 51%.

At the secondary level, our Grade 9 Math results are on par with the province, while our OSSLT (Literacy) pass rate is notably higher at 91% versus the provincial average of 85%
