Bishop Smith CHS
Faith Formation
Our school chaplain plays a key role in supporting student success at Bishop Smith Catholic High School. Chaplaincy is a vocation, a call to serve God and others by nurturing the spiritual life of a school community. Our chaplain is committed to fostering a faith-filled school environment where Christ is at the heart of all we do. Inspired by Micah 6:8, “To act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God,” the chaplain seeks to live out this calling through presence and witness.
Through facilitating liturgies, offering opportunities for faith formation, and building meaningful relationships, the chaplain helps the whole school community come to know Christ so that they may grow in their desire to love and serve our Lord. The chaplain also works closely with our clergy who ensure that the sacraments are celebrated, and the spiritual life of the school community can flourish.
The chaplain walks alongside others, sharing the joy of faith, and celebrating the many ways Christ is at work in our lives. Bishop Smith Catholic High School students and staff journey in faith together, trusting in God and his plan for each one of us. Together, we welcome this call.
